text-link-ads.com Is 50/50 revenue share my ad space revenue a fair deal?

Not on your nelly! It's my own fault, I read somewhere that text-link-ads.com was THE site to use to sell text links on a site. I have a 'featured link' box on each of the category pages on www.smstoday.co.uk, so I'm looking for simple way to allow providers of the niche services to purchase the single spot on a month by month basis.

So I just signed up, went through all the BS of listing the pages only to discover that...

a) they choose the price (typically $10 - $25 a month). WTF do they know about the specialised subject of SMS & MMS services? The featured link spot is worth more than $25 a month.

b) We split it 50/50. So, not only do they under value my ad space, they want half of it. Bollox to that. I'm not accepting $5 - $12.50 a month, especially when you consider that the USD to GBP currency exchange rate would result in me earning between £2.50 - £6 per link per month.

Now that's not to say that it works for some people, but they can kiss my arse if they think I'm that cheap.

Guess I gonna have to get my paypal account fixed, or people can just send a payment the old fashioned way. By mail.
