Instead of paying for each iPhone ringtone in iTunes, this service lets you get as many iPhone ringtones as you can handle for just $1.99 per month. Barmy!

Ringtones have been around for ever!

So it's not often that a new ringtone service impresses me enough to step up to the PC and write about it.

So when I find a ringtone service that has me thinking "WOW! That's Great"! - I take the time to tell you about it.

So which ringtone service has got me buzzing?

SingMyRing.com - This one is simply brilliant!

It's all in the name. SingMyRing.com provide really catchy, and professionally produced ringtones using YOUR name. I can't emphasise the quality enough - They're the best I've heard in a very long time.

So How Does It Work?

You visit the site and type in your name. They'll let you listen to a load of previews of ringtones that use your name in the track. There are loads of different versions available... Acoustic, Barbershop, Dance, Disco, Funk, Garage, Piano, Rave, RnB and Rock.

But It Doesn't End There!

You can also get 'Pal Tones' - Ringtones that use your friends' name. Type in your mates name and you can get a ringtone based on the 'XYZ is calling you". The you can assign it to your contacts so that when XYZ calls you, you know exactly who's calling. Excellent stuff!

There's More!

SingMyRing.com also provides 'Alarm Tones' and 'SMS Text Alert Tones' that use your name. Neat stuff.

Still, The Fun's Not Over Yet!

There's also a bunch of 'Text Tones', 'Funny Tones' and 'Rude Tones'.

About the Rude Tones

I have to tell you that I nearly wet myself with laughter when I heard one of the rude tones. This one is strictly for adults and utterly hilarious.

A very clever iPhone Ringtones service has been launched. There's a free trial so you can check it out.

The clever bit is that the iPhone Ringtones are made available via a Podcast, which is perfect for iPhone users that already have access to the iTunes software.

The best bit is that the iPhone Ringtones are avaialble worldwide, including the UK (Until today, iPhone Ringtones have yet to be made available in the UK).

Celldorado have launched 3 great fun sounds, a nice alternative to either your ringtone or your text alert.

There's sound of 'Scratching a Chalkboard' that put everyone's teeth on edge. An 'Electric Shaver' and my personal favorite... "The Low Battery" that plays a standard ringtone with effect of a fying battery. Fun stuff.

They've actually launched 4, but the last one is a 'Silent Ringtone' - They lost me on that one. I don't get it.

Of all the cell phone bling you can get for your mobile phone, I think ringtones is my least favorite.

Sure everyone loves their own ringtone, but when someone else's ringtone goes off, I can't help but mutter "wanker" under my breath. Come on, admit, I'm not alone :)
    
Despite my loathing of ringtones, I'll do my best to keep this ringtone section rolling along.
